Euonymus alatus

Experience the magic of autumn early on with Euonymus alatus (spindle trees). When it turns bright red, no one wanders by unnoticed.

It gets its name from its fruits, which are reminiscent of spindles. In winter, it is the corky wings on its twigs that stand out and make it special.

The contrast between the shrub and its surrounding environment adds to its striking character.

The branches give the shrub a unique and decorative look, especially in winter when the leaves have fallen.
